Dedicated to the memory of Phil

This site is a tribute to Phil, born November 1st 1966. He was sadly taken from us on January 17th 2018. Phil was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease on 20th Sep 2017. He came home from Saudi to spend the few months he had left with his family.

A devastating diagnosis with no treatment or cure. It was a disease we had all heard of but not experienced first hand. May you never know the horrific impact it has on the sufferer and their loved ones. Everyday Phil would wake up and discover that something else had stopped working. His hand, his arm, his legs and so on. It slowly robbed him of his body. Throughout the last few months he never complained and tried to keep smiling. He held it together for all of us with dignity and strength

Phil and I were overwhelmed by the hundreds of messages of love and best wishes that poured in from around the world. Those of you who knew him well will know he wasn't religious but yet he had prayers being said in Catholic Churches, Mormon churches and Mosques. That did make him smile.

Friends and family visited from far and wide to spend time with Phil. A brave journey for everyone knowing it would be their last precious moments together. He was very grateful to all of those who came as he knew it wasn't an easy thing to do. He smiled , he joked and tried to cheer everyone up to the last day. And those that couldn't make it video mesaged him and reminisced. All of this kept him strong and made his days bearable. I thank you all, each and every one of you. Please know that you all gave us comfort and support.

Phil has left a hole in our lives which will never be filled. Life will never be the same. A husband, father, brother ,son, uncle ripped from our lives at such a young age. This tribute is to remember him and the memories he made. Please leave stories and photos if you wish.

All donations will go to the Motor Neurone Asssociation in the hope that one day there will be a cure for this cruel disease.

Phil will live on in our hearts. May the force be with him.
